Hamburger with Mahón-Menorca Cheese

We will need:

  • Semi-hard Mahón-Menorca cheese
  • For the hamburger:
  • 500 g mince meat
  • 40 g capers
  • 40 g mustard
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Salt and olive oil


  • For the caramelised onions:
  • 3 or 4 medium-sized onions
  • 35 g butter
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • Semi-hard Mahón-Menorca cheese

Chop the capers and mix all the burger ingredients together. Shape the hamburger patties into the desired size.

Peel and julienne the onions and put in a saucepan with the butter and the brown sugar over a low heat, until they take on a deep golden colour.

Cut the Mahón-Menorca cheese into thin slices, placing one slice on each hot burger and topping with the caramelised onion.
