A product with a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) is closely linked to the geographical area in which it is produced: the island of Menorca.

Minorca is the easternmost island of the Balearic Islands with some geo-climatic factors that determine the final characteristics of our cheeses. Declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1993, it is a result of the high degree of compatibility achieved between the development of economic activities, the consumption of resources, and the conservation of a heritage and landscape that has maintained, and continues to maintain today, an exceptional quality. Menorca is a territory with a very rich traditional rural landscape.
